Growing Stars Therapeutic Childcare Network
Empowering Hamilton County’s Early Childhood Providers with Tools to Support Every Child’s Emotional and Behavioral Growth
Funded through a grant from Ohio’s Department of Children and Youth, the Growing Stars Therapeutic Childcare Network is a collaborative initiative designed to help early childhood educators and childcare providers respond to the increasing social-emotional and behavioral challenges among young children.
What Growing Stars Offers
Training for Educators & Leaders
Learn key principles from the Resilient Children and Families Program (RCFP), including trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, and family engagement. Training is available through:
- In-person workshops
- Online self-paced modules
- Virtual communities of learners
- Technical assistance for program leaders
Classroom Observation & Coaching
Receive hands-on, on-site support for teachers navigating challenging behaviors. Our coaching uses trauma-informed, two-generation practices to build confidence and capacity.
Screening & Resource Coordination
For children showing signs of emotional or behavioral health needs, we help providers identify concerns and connect families to the right services and supports.
Therapeutic Childcare Placement
Children ages 2½–5 who are struggling in typical childcare settings may be referred to therapeutic classrooms at CoStars Early Education sites in Madisonville and Westwood. Transportation assistance may be available based on need and location.
