Volunteer Opportunity Description:
Mock interviews help students gain confidence, improve communication, and prepare for real job interviews. These practice sessions offer valuable feedback and insight into what employers seek. As a volunteer, your guidance can make a meaningful impact on students’ career readiness.

Running & Maintaining the Resource Center

Date: Ongoing – Every Thursdays

Volunteers Opportunity Description:
This opportunity involves assisting with the management of our Resource Center every Thursday, except for the 3rd Thursday of each month. Responsibilities include providing exceptional customer service to our staff as they pick up resources for their students and clients, supporting them through the checkout process, and ensuring they have everything needed to succeed.

Fun Friday Volunteer Opportunity – Make a Child’s Day!
Fun Friday is a special reward for students who’ve demonstrated positive behavior throughout the week. It’s a time for celebration, connection, and joy—and we need volunteers to help make it unforgettable!

Volunteers will engage with children in themed rooms featuring sports games, puzzles, and video games. There will also be opportunities for one-on-one conversations, giving kids a chance to share their thoughts and experiences. Your presence helps reinforce the value of good behavior while creating meaningful moments that brighten their day.

Family Night  (Spring Semester)

Date: May 7, 2026

Join us for Family Night, an evening of fun and laughter for everyone! As a volunteer, you’ll engage with families through activities like face painting, arts and crafts, and games such as corn hole and Connect 4. With over 100 attendees in the past two years, volunteers are essential for helping with food service, manning games, and assisting with crafts. If the weather is nice, kids will enjoy the playground, adding to the excitement. Your participation creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making Family Night memorable for all!

Harbor House Mental Health Awareness Cookout

Join us for an engaging community event where food, music, games, and fun come together to make a meaningful impact! This lively gathering is designed to support mental health, strengthen community connections, and create space for people to enjoy time together in a welcoming, upbeat environment.

Volunteers will play a key role in bringing the energy to life—helping with event setup, food stations, games and activities, guest support, and overall event flow. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with people, love music and community events, and want to give back in a positive, hands‑on way.

Juneteenth Celebration

Date: Friday, June 19, 2026

We need volunteers to help serve food. Lunch would be from 11am-12:30pm. We will be serving lunch on the campus green (sunshine) or in the cafeteria (if raining). We need volunteers to help run the activity stations that the kids will be participating. We also need event ambassadors to help with directing people to the restrooms, water fountains, etc.

Lawn Games

Volunteers Needed: 8-10
Volunteers will help lead a variety of outdoor lawn games for summer camp kids, creating a fun, active, and engaged environment. Activities may include classic games like relay races, kickball, and team challenges. Volunteers help set up games, encourage teamwork, and ensure all campers feel safe while having fun outdoors.

Field Day

Date: July 22, 2026

Our summer field day will include both athletic and non-athletic events for all ages. The goal of field day is to provide fun activities promoting teamwork and healthy competition! We need energetic volunteers to help manage the field day stations (hula hoop, relay races, water balloon toss, etc.)

Talent Show & Cookout – Summer Camp Program

Camp-I-Can proudly presents CoStar’s Got Talent! Children have prepared performing acts for a small talent showcase. Afterwards, families enjoy a cook-out to end the summer fun. Volunteers will help with food station setup, grilling, and meal service.

Budget Bootcamp – Main Campus

Budget Bootcamp is a simulated “Game of Life” style event where students are assigned profiles with different degrees, education levels, family sizes, and salaries, allowing them to experience making financial decisions. Volunteers will be seated at stations where they will facilitate the pre-made academic activity at the station.
