Cincinnati, OH – June 26, 2025 – Best Point Education & Behavioral Health and Butler Behavioral Health are proud to announce the official completion of their strategic merger, marking a transformative step forward in behavioral health care for the Greater Cincinnati region.
As of today, Butler Behavioral Health is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Best Point Education & Behavioral Health. While the organizations are now unified, Butler Behavioral Health will continue to operate under its current name, and no immediate changes will occur for staff, clients, or day-to-day operations.
This merger brings together two mission-driven organizations with a shared commitment to delivering high-quality, accessible mental health services. Together, the newly combined organization will:
- Serve more individuals across Hamilton, Butler, Clermont, and Warren Counties
- Expand from 30 to over 50 services, now supporting children, teens, and adults
- Deepen the continuum of care across the lifespan
- Grow to over 680 employees
- Operate with a combined annual revenue of approximately $65 million
“This merger is about more than growth, it’s about creating better outcomes for the people we serve,” said Randy Allman, President & CEO of Butler Behavioral Health. “We’re proud to continue our work as Butler Behavioral Health, now with the expanded reach and resources of Best Point behind us.”
John Banchy, President & CEO of Best Point, added, “By uniting our teams and expanding our services, we’re transforming how behavioral health is delivered in our region. We are stronger together.”
“This merger holds so much promise for southwest Ohio and those seeking behavioral health care,” said OhioMHAS Director LeeAnne Cornyn. “Both organizations have rich histories and strong reputations. By joining forces, they’ll not only advance their treatment offerings, but also expand their reach, which is a true win-win for the community.”
The announcement was made during a special event at Butler Behavioral Health in Hamilton, Ohio, featuring remarks from State Representatives, board leadership, and a ceremonial signing to commemorate the occasion. Ohio State Senator George Lang spoke at the event, offering his support for the merger and its positive impact on the region.
Over the next year, integration teams from both organizations will work together to align operations, enhance services, and ensure a seamless transition. The focus will remain on supporting staff, investing in people, and delivering exceptional care to the community.
This merger represents a bold step toward a more inclusive, coordinated, and impactful behavioral health system—one that will empower individuals and families for generations to come.
