Dr. Daniel Weis Named Medical Director for Best Point Education & Behavioral Health & Butler Behavioral Health

Best Point Education & Behavioral Health & Butler Behavioral Health are proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Daniel Weis, MD as the organization’s new Medical Director. Dr. Weis brings over two decades of experience in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry, with a distinguished career spanning military service, clinical leadership, and a deep commitment to serving underserved populations.

Dr. Weis is dual board-certified in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry. He has served as a dedicated psychiatric provider in the region for many years, including a decade with St. Aloysius, which later became part of Best Point Education & Behavioral Health, and for the past 10 years with Butler Behavioral Health. His transition to a full-time leadership role marks a significant step forward in the organization’s commitment to integrated, high-quality mental health care.

“Dr. Weis has long been a trusted and respected voice in our community,” said John Banchy, President & CEO of Best Point Education & Behavioral Health. “His clinical expertise, compassionate approach, and deep understanding of the needs of individuals and families make him the ideal leader to guide our medical services into the future.”

“I’ve had the privilege of working with Dr. Weis for nearly a decade,” said Randy Allman, President of Butler Behavioral Health. “I’m thrilled to see him lead a growing team of high-quality practitioners who provide care to more than 3,500 patients. His leadership will be a tremendous asset to our community.”

Dr. Weis graduated from the University of Cincinnati and attended medical school at the Medical College of Ohio. He served as a psychiatrist in the Navy for over 20 years, providing comprehensive care world-wide. He was Chief Resident during his Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Program at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Weis has extensive experience working with all ages and conditions. His clinical leadership will support both organizations in advancing evidence-based care and improving outcomes for individuals across the lifespan.

“I’m honored to step into this role and continue working alongside such dedicated teams,” said Dr. Weis. “Together, we have the opportunity to expand access, improve care coordination, and make a lasting impact on the lives of those we serve.”

As Medical Director, he will oversee medical strategy, clinical quality, and behavioral health services across both Best Point and Butler Behavioral Health, helping to shape the future of behavioral health care in the region.
