You may see Suzanne on campus picking up lunches or calling vans, but what you see is just a small part of the important role Suzanne plays at Best Point.
As an Operations Supervisor in the Early Childhood Day Treatment program, Suzanne has massively contributed to the agency’s success. Starting with her tenure back when the ECDT was located in the basement of Shipley, Suzanne was one of the first staff trained in the Teaching Family Model (TFM) and is currently the most tenured consultant in the agency, making her a critical asset to Best Point’s work.
Her commitment to her role goes beyond what is expected. She’s frequently the first to arrive and the last to leave, ensuring that no client is ever left alone. She has often sacrificed her personal life, cancelling appointments and after-work plans, to make sure clients make their van. Meanwhile, she also spends time problem-solving with providers to find creative ways to help the children meet their goals.
Suzanne’s dedication to her work has earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues, clients, and families. They always ask to see Ms. Suzanne and come back to share their success stories. Her early adoption and advocacy of the TFM have been crucial in its success, and her unwavering commitment to client care has been a game-changer for Best Point.
As an agency, one of Best Point’s most important objectives is addressing the mental health needs of vulnerable at-risk youth and their families – especially given the fact that 1 in 5 children either currently or at some point during their life have had a seriously debilitating mental illness.
